    Something Green

If you haven't heard, I'm quite fond of Muppets. Especially when they are singing sad Irish songs...

It's not ALL about green beer and leprechauns today. Saint Patrick was a real person, credited with 'driving the snakes from Ireland.' So I guess if you have a snake problem, you can invoke St. Patrick for help!

    Saint Patricks Day

Well, Happy Saint Patricks Day everyone! Who would've thought that one mans' journey to bring Christianity to Ireland would culminate in hordes of Americans drinking green beer, sporting flashing shamrock pins and speaking in horrible brogues?

Ah, well. We can't touch a holiday without turning it into a reason to:

    1. Get Drunk
    2. Buy Stuff
    3. Make fun of things

Number three would be where I usually come in, but I'm feeling not so fresh today, so I'll just tell you to watch The History of Saint Patricks Day, Thurs. March 17 @ 6pm/5c The History Channel. Or just visit the link there if you are still in the dark ages and don't have cable.

Also check out this book. It really makes some great points!
