Less than six weeks to Estrella War!

According to the Estrella War website, the new site has

• Greatly expanded camping area, all with flat ground;
• A larger central battlefield;
• An expanded merchant’s area;
• A permanent viewing stand overlooking the battlefield;
• All land is green farmed and regularly watered;
• The SCA has exclusive use of the site for the event;
• An excited and accommodating host;
• Close parking;
• Enthusiastic local restaurants and shops within 10 minutes of the site;
• Potable fresh water in several locations on site;
• Your are never more than a seven minute walk from your camp to merchant’s row, showers, classes or the battlefield;
• A long term site agreement;
• A beautiful view of the Gila River.

That all sounds good. But there are a couple of things to consider:

Trees will be at a premium this year, so don't go hoping for a lot of shade in your camp. The Farmers Almanac predicts wet weather as well, so bring your umbrellas!
